At Working Women of Faith, we believe there is no competition in The Kingdom of God, only collaboration. That’s why we have come alongside this young woman, Renata Krieger and the new student organization emergingHer she created for young women of faith at North Central University’s College of Business and Technology. As a freshman, Renata was prompted by God to start an organization for her fellow female students. We are proud and excited to announce she is launching emergingHER at North Central University on September 9th, 2020. It’s our newest sister organization and we couldn’t be prouder! Here’s Renata’s story and her heart for her peers.
“As an incoming sophomore Marketing student at North Central University, I saw a need to bring female business students together. With that desire, this fall I’m excited to launch the new student organization, EmergingHER, that focuses on professional skill development and faith/work integration for female students.
The inspiration behind this started last summer as I was accepted into a 4-year women’s leadership program through KPMG and Stanford University. Having future aspirations is great, but having a community of support and connections is dynamic. I decided that we needed to bring this concept to the North Central University campus and tap into the resources and connections provided through our College of Business and Technology. Overall, our members will experience the difference with monthly speaker meetings, social/networking events, and a mentorship program.
Our foundation verse is Proverbs 16:3, “COMMIT TO THE LORD WHATEVER YOU DO, AND HE WILL ESTABLISH YOUR PLANS.”
Our Mission: “To prepare women students to emerge from school ready to walk into the marketplace with confidence; supported by a community of peers and mentors; equipped to integrate work and faith; positioned for career success; and expanding the influence of God’s Kingdom in the marketplace. “
Will you join us in supporting emergingHer by covering the launch in prayer, connecting with them on social media, and sharing it with young women you may know?
