This week’s verse is all about letting go. Letting go of what you think your life is, and gaining in return the life that God has for you.
“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” (Matthew 16:25 NIV)
Whatever “Ideal life” you have pictured for yourself, it is nothing compared to the life God has for you. But in order to get the life God has for you, you have to give up the life you have planned for yourself.
Too many times, we are like that last desperate leaf that clings so tightly to the frozen, barren limb.
When in reality, if the leaf lets go, it can fly.
Let go of your idea of what your life should be.
[Tweet “Let go, and let God take you to a life that is beyond anything you could imagine.”]
God has a much better plan for your life than you do.
- Your power is limited
- Your timing is finite
- Your vision is short-sighted
- Your knowledge is small
God is all-powerful, God is eternal, and God is all-seeing, and God knows it all.
Let go, and let God.
